AIRFIELD CONSTRUCTION NOTICE

Beginning June 15, 2026, Runway 17/35 at Greeley-Weld County Airport (GXY) will be temporarily closed for approximately 25–30 calendar days to complete several important airfield improvement projects. The multiple projects have been combined to reduce overall runway shutdown durations and impacts to tenants. The airport will continue to update users via the news and notices page at www.flygxy.com/news--notices. 

Work during the closure includes:
• Application of a pavement preservation fog seal
• Repainting of all runway markings
• Construction activities to connect the new Taxiway Echo II connector

Runway 10/28 will remain open and available throughout the closure. Pilots are encouraged to review all applicable NOTAMs and plan accordingly.

These improvements are part of the Airport Authority's continued investment in maintaining safe, reliable infrastructure while supporting future growth and development.
