The Greeley-Weld County Airport Authority is pleased to announce the award of federal funding to support Phase II of the Bravo and Echo Taxiway Complex, a key airfield infrastructure project at the Greeley-Weld County Airport. The funding was secured through a congressional request sponsored by Representative Gabe Evans, whose support was instrumental in advancing the project through the federal appropriations process. “As a former pilot in the Colorado Army National Guard who flew many missions to and from the Greeley Airport, I’m so proud to deliver $3.5 million in funding for the Greeley-Weld County Airport Authority to support Phase II of the Bravo and Echo Taxiway Complex. This investment strengthens airfield safety and efficiency while supporting long-term capacity, job creation, and economic growth across the Eighth District and Northern Colorado,” said Congressman Gabe Evans. Phase II of the Bravo and Echo Taxiway Complex will further improve aircraft circulation, reduce runway crossings, and enhance access to critical portions of the airfield. These improvements will directly support operational safety, efficiency, and long-term capacity for a wide range of airport users, including based tenants, military operations, business aviation, and transient aircraft. “This funding allows us to continue making strategic, safety-driven investments in our airfield,” said Cooper Anderson, Airport Director. “The Bravo and Echo taxiway system is a critical component of our overall layout, and Phase II will strengthen our ability to operate safely and efficiently while positioning the airport for future growth.” “We are grateful for Congressman Evans’ support and leadership in helping secure this funding,” said Kevin Ross, Airport Authority Board Chair. “We are also grateful for the local investments made by Weld County and the City of Greeley, which have been critical to leveraging federal funding and advancing infrastructure projects that serve both regional and national transportation needs.” The Bravo and Echo Taxiway Complex Phase II project is part of the Airport Authority’s long-term capital improvement program focused on enhancing safety, strengthening resiliency, and supporting regional growth.
