The FAA requires airports to update their based aircraft count annually. Having accurate based aircraft information will help the FAA in planning and forecasting the growth in the general aviation community. The FAA also uses the information to better understand the needs of local airports like ours. In an effort to simplify the process of getting the most up to date based aircraft on the field we have created a form for tenants to fill out below. The information received will only be input into the FAA's secure website.
What qualifies as a based aircraft?
If your aircraft is airworthy and is based at the airport a MAJORITY of the year it is considered based at the airport. If you recently moved an aircraft to Greeley-Weld County Airport and expect to stay, your aircraft will be considered a based aircraft.
What if I sold my aircraft and bought a new one?
If you sold an aircraft and bought a new one, fill out the form with the new aircraft information. Please add the old tail number into the comment box so we know to remove it from the count. You can update your aircraft information at any time.
If you have any issues or questions about the form, please contact Will Perez at 970-336-3002.
